Instrument Syncing Device Covers

I designed removable covers for the camera and dial/adjustment nodes of a device. The covers do not interfere with the device's function and usability, but prevent accidental adjustment of the device. The "pig" cover has space for a small magnet in its nose to clasp the two sides together, and the "anteater" camera cover is split into top and bottom pieces that can be screwed onto the device. 

Process

  1. Measured instrument syncing device dimensions​

  2. Designed preliminary covers in SolidWorks,  verified compatibility with the device assembly model

  3. Ensured correct tolerances for fitting on device and allowing for device functional movement
