Energy-Water-Land Resource Optimization Project

I evaluated how two fictitious countries could use their shared water resource to meet their energy demands.

Tasks

  1. Calculated the costs of meeting energy demands in the business-as-usual scenario without the use of renewable energy

  2. Calculated the amount of fossil fuel emissions and water used during energy production

  3. Evaluated the impact on cost, fossil fuel emissions, and WSI at different percentages of renewable energy generation

  4. Plotted the amount of renewable energy vs. cost, WSI, and fossil fuel emissions

  5. Optimized budget by finding the percentage of renewable energy that generates minimum cost for Country B

  6. Optimized budget by finding the percentage of renewable energy that generates minimum cost given certain sustainable development goals for Country B
